Lauryn Hill - Twitter Hashtags

Based on my 50 second research, I see Twitter hashtags for #teamlaurynhill and #teamLBoogie are already in effect. No need to elaborate here, just some Twitter/Lauryn Hill f.y.i. FANS are masterminds when it comes to viral street teams - Chris Brown.

NPR Interview: "It's Just Time."

I am praying that with this statement "it's just time", that Lauryn Hill's conviction kills her silence for good this time. No criticism about Lauryn teasing her fans here... check out the interview with NPR, then crawl in a corner and stay PATIENT for GREATNESS.

Celebrating music, art, ecology, spiritually & healthy living Ms. Hill graced the stage at this year's Harmony Music Festival in Santa Rosa California.  Looking beautifully eclectic because she is the master of doing her, here's a view videos from her performance at the festival.

"Turn The Lights Down Low"

"Fu-Gee-La"

"Ex-Factor"

"Lost Ones" - performed over Drake & Timbaland's "Say Something"

Rock The Bells Festival 2010

Rock the mic? Not rock the mic? This was, was not, then was, one of the first major announcements of a concert performance for 2010 from Lauryn Hill - her scheduled performance at the annual Rock The Bells 2010 Festival. Guerilla Union, the promoter for Rock the Bells, officially made this announcement on their website last month. Rock the Bells will also feature other heavy-weights like A Tribe Called Quest, Rakim, and KRS-One. LL who knew "Rock The Bells" would actually become "the king of crowd rockers"?

A Missed-educated Fan: The Title of This Blog

I won't lie a part of me (the blogger) might be jumping on the Lauryn Hill bandwagon since she stated in an interview with NPR "...I think it's just time." Of course this is not her first attempt at returning back to the music scene, but me (the fan who appreciates Lauryn Hill) wants to believe that there is some conviction in her statement this time around. The influence that Lauryn and her music has on fans is undeniable. Rocking out to "Every Ghetto, Every City" in my car with my 7-year old son is one of the highlights of my week. And trust me, this has nothing to do with my son's mamma being a budding poet and his daddy being an underground hip hop artist. Lauryn mentioned in the NPR article that she could be somewhat infectious - she knows the value and affect her music has on her fans. We've missed and yearned for your type of passion Lauryn - women who think outside of the status quo and the skin they are in. I'm tired (with red eyes) of the media miseducating hip hop fans about what a lady who will devastate a mic should look like. This is the beginning of my blog and I hope that it ends with Lauryn Hill fans feeling full & satisfied. I hope Lauryn Hill can stay full & satisfied.
